Fuel, utilities, education, taxes, IDP payments: What changed for Ukrainians from September 1st.


Ukrainians were informed about planned changes in September. In particular, they will concern fuel costs, the tax sphere, payments for IDPs, schoolchildren, as well as «Ukrzaliznytsia» and «Ukrposhta».
Fuel prices
As of September 1st, there will be an increase in excise taxes on automotive fuel. The increase in excise taxes will lead to higher prices at gas stations: by 1.5-2 hryvnias per liter of gasoline and diesel fuel, and for autogas – 5-6 hryvnias.
Will other taxes increase
The government plans to increase certain taxes, in particular, the military levy. However, the issue of raising taxes is still being discussed.
Payments for IDPs
From September 1st, payments under the «Shelter» program for IDPs will end. The program was terminated due to the depletion of financial resources.
School year
The new school year will start on September 2nd. Some innovations will be introduced in schools, such as the filling of elementary classes, the format of lessons, and hours of Ukraine's protection.
Ukrzaliznytsia
From September 1st, the site of «Ukrzaliznytsia» will change. Materials about the changes are presented in the format of ready-made news with the indication of the period when they will occur.
Utility tariffs
Utility tariffs in September will practically not change.
Nicotine pouches
From September 1st, nicotine pouches will be subject to excise duty.
Ukrposhta
From September 1st, the ability to use the passport delivery service abroad through the «Ukrposhta» website will be updated and improved.
