Michael Schumacher appeared at his daughter's wedding: first public appearance in 11 years.

Schumacher attended his daughter's wedding after a long head injury
Seven-Time Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher, who has not appeared in public since 2013 due to a serious head injury, was present at his daughter Gina-Maria's wedding. The ceremony took place on September 28 at a luxurious villa in Mallorca, which the Schumacher family bought from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, reports the British tabloid The Mirror.
In December 2013, Schumacher sustained a severe traumatic brain injury while skiing in the French Alps. Despite wearing a helmet, he fell and hit his head on a rock. After two neurosurgical operations, the racer was in an artificial coma for 207 days. After coming out of the coma, Schumacher has been under constant medical supervision and has not appeared in public, the publication informs.
Michael's appearance at his daughter's wedding was sensational. His wife Corinna has kept the family life strictly confidential all this time, so there was little information about the racer's health condition.
The wedding of Gina-Maria and her fiancé Ian Betke was held in a small circle of relatives and friends. According to some sources, guests were asked to hand in their mobile phones to avoid the spread of Schumacher's photos.
It is noted that there were about 100 guests at the party, but they were prohibited from having mobile phones to prevent photographing Schumacher.
Michael's appearance in public gives hope for his improvement. It is expected that he will also attend his son Mick's wedding in the near future.
