China will open its doors to travelers from four European countries.

China introduces visa-free regime for citizens of Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, and Slovenia
According to the National Immigration Administration of the PRC, China is introducing a visa-free regime for citizens of Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, and Slovenia. This is reported by China Daily.
«With the aim of further developing exchanges, China has decided to expand the number of visa-free countries and introduce a visa-free policy for holders of ordinary passports from Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, and Slovenia, who will be allowed visa-free entry to China from October 15, 2024, to December 31, 2025, for business, travel, family visits, and transit through the country for up to 15 days», the statement said.
This decision is aimed at further developing international exchanges and attracting more tourists from Europe. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated that China urges the respective countries to provide more visa facilitation services to Chinese citizens.
Recall that last November, China also changed visa rules for several European countries. Citizens of France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain, as well as Malaysia, will be able to stay in China without a visa for 15 days. Thus, China seeks to improve the country's tourist appeal after the pandemic.
