Zinkevych – 80. What pension does the Hero of Ukraine and people's artist receive.

The People's Artist, Hero of Ukraine Vasyl Zinkevych receives a pension of 5 thousand UAH per month. This was reported in an interview with 'Glavkom' by People's Artist Ivan Popovych, who is now a source of information about Zinkevych.

«Our pensions with Vasyl Zinkevych are 5 thousand UAH per month. I thought he received more because he has the Shevchenko Prize, in addition to the title of People's Artist and Hero of Ukraine, which was awarded to him by Viktor Yushchenko... Vasyl Zinkevych told me that he was in the Cabinet of Ministers, he told them there that at one Time he brought millions to the Philharmonic, so he asked what kind of injustice this was and how he was supposed to live? Do you know what he heard in response? «Unfortunately, we can't help you: you had a salary», – Popovych recounted.

Junior colleague Zinkevych, People's Artist Pavlo Zibrov, emphasized in an interview with 'Glavkom' last year that the authorities have unjustly forgotten about Vasyl Zinkevych.

«The Ministry of Culture does not pay due attention to people like him, – Heroes of Ukraine, laureates of the Shevchenko State Prize, true legends of our culture. It would be right to hold a tour across Ukraine in his honor on his 80th anniversary. This is not just a tour, it's an opportunity to pay tribute to the artist who devoted his entire life to Ukrainian song and glorified our culture around the world», – Zibrov is convinced.

That is why Pavlo Zibrov believes that Vasyl Zinkevych should be supported and a tour should be organized across Ukraine.

It is worth noting that Vasyl Zinkevych has several awards and honors, including the title of Hero of Ukraine and the Order of State.

On May 1, Volodymyr Zelensky awarded Vasyl Zinkevych the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the 3rd class.

Zinkevych is very cautious and has avoided media attention, but he has communicated with 'Glavkom' a few times. He rarely performs on stage but made an exception in the pre-anniversary year and toured with the project 'Two Legends'.
