Farewell Ceremony with Pope Francis.

A farewell ceremony was held in the Vatican for Pope Francis. The body of the pontiff was buried during a solemn ceremony at St. Peter's Basilica. About 250,000 people attended this three-day farewell ceremony, reports 'Glavcom'.
About 50 world leaders, 170 official delegations, and thousands of believers gathered in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican to say goodbye to Pope Francis.
Presidents of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the USA Donald Trump, and France Emmanuel Macron, as well as other high-ranking officials and monarchs participated in the ceremony. Pope Francis passed away on April 21 at the age of 88. He led the Catholic Church for 12 years.
According to the pontiff's will, he will be buried in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore outside the Vatican. This decision reflects Francis's wish to be buried simply, without grand ceremonies. The funeral will take place this evening, while prayers and watch are ongoing in the Vatican.

According to BBC, at Pope Francis's funeral, at least 130 foreign delegations are expected to arrive, including 50 presidents and 10 monarchs.
Pope Francis passed away at the beginning of the week at the age of 88. The cause of death was a stroke against the backdrop of chronic illnesses. Before his death, the monarch had been suffering from bilateral pneumonia, which was detected in February of this year. Prior to his death, he experienced two respiratory crises.
According to Pope Francis's will, his body will be buried in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome, rather than in the Vatican, where many of his predecessors rest. He requested that the tomb be simple and unadorned.
