The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine updated the data on the losses of Russian occupiers as of September 8, 2024.
Russia's losses in the war as of September 8, 2024
As of September 8, the Russian Federation lost:
- Personnel - approximately 625,260 (+1,270) people;
- Tanks - 8,636 (+4) units;
- Combat armored vehicles - 16,897 (+19) units;
- Artillery systems - 17,804 (+30) units;
- MLRS - 1,180 (+2) units;
- Air defense systems - 942 (+0) units;
- Aircraft - 368 (+0) units;
- Helicopters - 328 (+0) units;
- Operational-tactical UAVs - 14,864 (+80) units;
- Cruise missiles - 2,588 (+0) units;
- Ships / boats - 28 (+0) units;
- Submarines - 1 (+0) unit;
- Vehicles and fuel tankers - 24,218 (+47) units;
- Special equipment - 3,047 (+10) units.

Occupant fleet activity as of September 8
- In the Black Sea, there is one enemy ship, which is a carrier of "Kalibr" cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to four missiles;
- In the Sea of Azov, there are no enemy ships;
- In the Mediterranean Sea, there is one enemy ship, which is a carrier of "Kalibr" cruise missiles.
During the day, in the interests of the Russian Federation, the following passed through the Kerch Strait:
- To the Black Sea - five vessels, two of which continued moving towards the Bosporus Strait;
- To the Sea of Azov - eight vessels, six of which were moving from the Bosporus Strait.
The Russian Federation continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea of 1974 (SOLAS) by turning off the Automatic Identification Systems (AIS).
Currently, the 928th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine is ongoing.
