They arrange ambushes on civilian cars. The State Border Service warned about the new tactics of the occupiers.

The occupiers in Donbas have decided to test a new tactic by setting up a large number of FPV ambushes on civilian vehicles. This information was spread by the State Border Service, quoted by 'Glavkom'.
The enemy drones 'park' on the side of the roads and track targets, after which they launch an attack. However, the pilots of 'Phoenix' quickly detect such maneuvers of the enemy and eliminate the ambushes, - the message states.
The State Border Service in Donetsk region destroyed seven FPV ambushes, a vehicle, a drone control point, a field depot with combat systems, and dozens of occupiers. Russian invaders use the same tactic on all sections of the front, attempting to attack at any cost. This was reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, through 'Glavkom'.
Reaction of analysts
Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) emphasize that this strategy of Russia in the war against Ukraine may lead to a depletion of resources and a slowdown in the country's positions across the front. Russian military bloggers express dissatisfaction with the military leadership's use of the 'thousand cuts' tactic against Ukraine, which harms their own troops.
With the emergence of FPV ambushes on civilian vehicles in Donbas, the danger of attacks by other forces is increasing. Donetsk region is becoming a particular tension point in the war, where military actions may escalate due to the new tactics of the occupiers. Ukrainian forces respond promptly, eliminating FPV ambushes and neutralizing the threat to the civilian population.
