The missile manufacturer Nasams will open a company in Ukraine.

The Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace plans to produce missiles for the Nasams air defense system in Ukraine. This was reported by Glavcom referencing the company's president, Eirik Lie, in an interview with Euractiv.
'We are currently establishing a company in Ukraine. We are in close negotiations with representatives of the Ukrainian industry regarding the creation of a joint venture. The top priority is to increase missile production for our air defense system in Ukraine based on Ukrainian technologies,' said Lie.
As noted by the president of the companies, this concerns mass production of missiles and the possibility of creating joint enterprises with Ukraine within a few months.
'In the long term, when the war ends, Ukraine could become part of the missile supply chain for air defense systems. There are many innovations happening in Ukraine right now, and we will be a part of them. It is important for us to be there,' he says.
Launch of Rheinmetall plant in 2026
As it is known, the Rheinmetall ammunition production plant in Ukraine will start operating in 2026.
The first plant to start operating in Ukraine was for the repair of equipment. In 2026, a plant for the production of ammunition is planned to be opened, and the third enterprise will be a plant for the production of anti-aircraft systems.
It is worth noting that the U.S. Space Force is forming a team to work on the idea of creating a 'Iron Dome' air defense system.
As reported, Russian drones pose no less danger than missile strikes. Moreover, while working against Russian drones, the Ukrainian air defense forces currently lack the capabilities to destroy them without consequences.
Moreover, the Swedish government has announced the transfer of air defense systems to Ukraine worth 1.2 billion kronor (almost $113 million).
