The Ukrainian society must prepare for a prolonged war

Deputy Head of the President's Office Iryna Vereshchuk claims that we need to be ready for a prolonged war, as Russia will remain an enemy for many years to come. She believes it is important to teach children to prepare for such situations. Even with a possible peaceful settlement, Russia's attitude towards Ukraine will not change.

“We all must understand, the war will continue. Regardless of whether there will be a ceasefire or not. Whether there will be peace agreements or not. Russia will remain our enemy for much longer than decades, possibly even centuries,” Vereshchuk emphasized.

The Deputy Head of the Office remarks that it is necessary to reorient the consciousness of society towards a stable readiness for resistance. She believes that citizens must be prepared for any developments and actions of the aggressor. Vereshchuk is confident that readiness for resistance will force Russia to abandon aggression.

“This is our strategy that we embed from school,” she emphasized.

The politician stresses that Ukrainian children must be ready for war, as this is the reality of modern life. Preparing the younger generation for potential conflicts and threats is an important aspect.
