In Ukraine, a supplement for pensioners aged 65 and older has been introduced: how much can be received.

Special supplements for pensioners aged 65 and older
Ukraine has a special pension support system for elderly people. According to the Ukrainian Pension Fund, citizens aged 65 and older receive special supplements.
The legislation stipulates that in order to receive full pension benefits at this age, one must have a certain work experience. Women need to have at least 30 years of experience, while men need 35 years.
According to established norms, pensioners in this category are guaranteed to receive 40% of the minimum wage. Considering the current minimum wage of 8000 hryvnias, the minimum pension is 3200 hryvnias. In fact, pensioners receive even more - 3370 hryvnias.
It is important to note that in cases where the calculated pension is lower than the established minimum, the state automatically compensates the difference to the guaranteed level without the need for submitting additional applications.
Moreover, there is a system of age supplements for elderly citizens in Ukraine:
- Pensioners aged 70-74 receive an additional 300 hryvnias
- Individuals aged 75-79 receive an additional 456 hryvnias
- Citizens aged 80 and older receive an additional 570 hryvnias
These age supplements are assigned automatically and do not require additional appeals to social protection or the Pension Fund. Thus, the pension provision system ensures a gradual increase in financial support with age, taking into account the needs of the oldest citizens of Ukraine.
