In Ukraine, the prices for land have been revised: how much will it cost per hectare.


The cost of land has been reported to Ukrainians regarding the expected price per hectare in December 2024.
Since July 1, 2021, Ukraine has opened its land market, allowing individuals and legal entities to freely buy and sell land plots. Over the past three years, the price of land has been steadily increasing.
In 2024, there is a trend of rising prices for agricultural land. In December of this year, the average price of land continued to rise.
According to the latest data, in November the average price of one hectare of land in Ukraine was 50,475 hryvnias, which is slightly lower than in October. In mid-December, the price of land slightly decreased and reached 49,908 hryvnias per hectare.
It is important to note that the cost of land plots depends on many factors, including the purpose of the plot, which affects its market value.
It is worth mentioning that the price of land has been constantly increasing since the start of the open land market in July 2021. Prices for land are likely to continue to rise in January 2025 compared to November.
In Ukraine, there are several main types of land plots depending on their purpose and cost.
- Agricultural lands are used for agricultural activities. Their price depends on the location and soil fertility and ranges from $1,000 to $10,000 per hundredth.
- Industrial lands are designated for placing industrial facilities, with prices ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 and more per hundredth, depending on the availability of infrastructure.
- Land for construction is used for residential or commercial construction and costs between $5,000 to $50,000 per hundredth depending on proximity to the city and infrastructure.
- There are also other types of land, such as forest, water, and protected areas, the prices of which vary significantly.
For combatants, there are special rules regarding the privatization of land plots.
