ISW reacted to the execution of Ukrainian prisoners.

Military executions on the border with Russia
According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the losses of Ukrainian soldiers on the border with Russia are a clear violation of international law. The organization reached this conclusion after the publication of geolocated video showing how five Ukrainian POWs are executed by Russian troops. This event took place on the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, specifically in the area of Blahodatne (south of Velyka Novosilka).
ISW indicates that the command of Russian troops is either overconfident or even encourages its subordinates to carry out executions of prisoners of war. This is a flagrant violation of international law. Additionally, in October, ISW noted an increase in the losses of Ukrainian prisoners of war, which the command of Russian troops even supports and encourages.
