Ukrainian attacks people in the center of Amsterdam: reaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine responded to the information about the possible citizenship of the Ukrainian who attacked people in Amsterdam. This was reported by the representatives of the Ministry.
Ministry spokesperson Georgiy Tikhiy stated that the Ukrainian embassy in the Netherlands is actively cooperating with the local police to obtain additional information about this incident.
The Ministry is currently determining the identity of the suspect and the circumstances of his arrival in the Netherlands.
We will continue close cooperation with the Dutch authorities in this matter. We wish the victims a speedy recovery. Such acts of violence are unjustifiable, and the perpetrator must be held accountable.
It should be noted that the attack occurred on March 27 near Dam Square in Amsterdam. A man with a knife attacked passersby, injuring five people. A British tourist managed to stop the attacker, restraining him until the police arrived.
It later became known that among the injured there were two elderly Americans, a 26-year-old Pole, a 73-year-old woman from Belgium, and a 19-year-old girl from the Netherlands.
The Mayor of Amsterdam praised the Briton for his bravery but did not publicly reveal the hero's name.
Earlier, it was reported that a court in Germany sentenced a woman and a man to life imprisonment for the murder of a Ukrainian woman and her mother in March 2024 and for the abduction of their child. The court also recognized their crime as particularly serious, making it almost impossible to be released after 15 years of imprisonment.
It should be noted that an appeal can be filed against the court's decision.
