Ukrainians may be deprived of land for army needs: who will be affected.

Ukrainians may begin to be deprived of land rights for the construction of fortifications.
This was reported by Taras Melnychuk, the permanent representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, on his Telegram channel.
The Cabinet proposes to regulate the procedure for forced temporary deprivation of land rights for the construction of military structures. The relevant draft law has already been approved.
In particular, during wartime, a measure is considered that provides for forced temporary deprivation of the right to use a land plot. It is applied for the construction and maintenance of military engineering and fortification structures, with the subsequent possibility of terminating this restriction or conducting a buyout or forced alienation of the plot or its part.
Furthermore, it is proposed to establish special rules for forced temporary deprivation of the right to use a land plot or its part.
This includes:
- drawing up an act on forced temporary deprivation of the right to use;
- determining the procedure for making decisions on terminating such a restriction;
- procedures for the buyout of the plot or its part.
After approval by the government, the draft law will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
In the conditions of the ongoing military conflict, extensive work is indeed being carried out in Ukraine to strengthen defense. These works are performed by local authorities in cooperation with military forces. It should be noted that fortification structures are being erected in border and frontline regions to protect territories from possible enemy attacks.
Recall that in Ukraine, the first agreement on the demining of farmland under the state program was signed.
