According to the federal office for refugees, more and more Ukrainian refugees are deciding to stay in Germany after the war.
The president of this office, Mark Seibert, stated that surveys are being conducted in Berlin among refugees living in emergency assistance centers. According to him, previously most of them expressed a desire to return to Ukraine, but now 65% have decided to stay in Germany and settle here.
Germany is a leader in the number of accommodated Ukrainian refugees. Currently, there are over 1.1 million Ukrainian citizens who have received temporary refuge.
Poland is also expecting a new wave of refugees from Ukraine.
