Ukrainians may not pay for utilities: categories of "lucky ones" named.

Who can get utility benefits in Ukraine?
The Pension Fund of Ukraine has reported who may not pay for utilities in Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the PFU.
Individuals who have retired and previously worked in certain professions in rural areas and continue to live there can receive a 100% discount on the payment of housing and utilities, the purchase of solid fuel and liquefied gas.
The list of benefit claimants includes educators, medical and pharmaceutical workers, plant protection specialists, museum and library workers, as well as employees of cultural and educational institutions in the field of culture.
To receive the benefit, you must have at least three years of work experience in the relevant position and work in positions that give the right to the benefit before retirement.
However, the 100% discount benefit can only be received by individuals whose average monthly family income for the previous six months per person does not exceed the established income level that gives the right to a social benefit. In 2024, this amount is 4240 hryvnias.
It is noted that the benefit is provided for twelve months from the month of application to the PFU, but not more than until the end of the calendar year.
To receive the benefit, you need to submit an application to the PFU in person or online, as well as provide a certificate of the right to benefit, which can be obtained from the education, health, culture department, district administration, or the administration of the institution where the person worked, or from the village or town council.
