Ukraine is catching up with Russia in drone development - Syrskyi.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, emphasized the importance of the economy and scientific and technological progress in the current conditions of war during a meeting with journalists. He discussed the advantages of drone development in Ukraine and the challenges facing the Ukrainian army.
The general explained that Ukraine has an advantage in FPV drones compared to the opponent, but Russia has excelled in the production of drones with fiber-optic control. Ukraine is actively catching up in this process, having drone manufacturers with a fiber-optic cable length of 20 km.
"The army of the future must be high-tech. The role of the soldier on the battlefield will be minimized, as he is the greatest asset. We will do everything to preserve our infantry," said Syrskyi.
Ukraine shares its military experience with NATO partners and implements new practices in military science. It has also developed Unmanned Systems Forces as a separate branch of the military.
Syrskyi emphasized that Russian troops are advancing in Donbas, trying to create a 'buffer zone' on the border of Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The Ukrainian army is actively developing high-tech means to ensure the safety of its soldiers on the front line.
Ukrainian military personnel continue to enhance their military capabilities by developing high-tech means and collaborating with NATO partners in sharing important information.
