Ukraine prepares to expand agricultural exports to Egypt.

The Ukrainian delegation during the visit to Egypt discussed the expansion of markets for agricultural products. The Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Serhiy Tkachuk, stated that Ukraine is an important supplier of grain crops to Egypt, which contributes to the increase in the export of corn, wheat, soybeans, and barley.
'Ukraine is an important supplier of grain crops to Egypt and these figures are growing every year. In 2024, the export volume was as follows: corn - 3 million 332 thousand tons, wheat - 2 million 875 thousand tons, soybeans - 745 thousand tons, barley - 16.1 thousand tons,' he reported.
According to Tkachuk, negotiations are underway to open markets for such products as milk, eggs, fish products, animal feed, small cattle, finished beef products, and more.
'From the side of Egypt, there is the possibility of importing fish and fish products, expanding the assortment of fruits and vegetables. A quarter of the oranges sold in Ukraine come from Egypt. This will give the Ukrainian consumer more choices,' he noted.
