Tragedy in Sumy: What is known about the police officer who died due to the Russian strike.


Russia struck a hospital in Sumy, a police colonel died
Today, September 28, Russia again attacked a hospital in Sumy, when police officers had already arrived at the scene. At the epicenter was Colonel of Police Ihor Poladych, head of the personnel support sector of the Sumy District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Sumy Region, who received a fatal wound.
According to the National Police of Ukraine, Ihor Poladych dedicated more than 20 years of his life to service in the internal affairs bodies: "During the full-scale invasion of the Russian armed forces in Ukraine, he performed his professional duties until his last breath".
The police officer was 43 years old, he was left without a husband, and his wife without a husband, son and daughter without a father.
"Kind, sincere, positive - this is exactly how Ihor will be remembered by his colleagues. The National Police of Ukraine expresses sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. Forever in our hearts! Forever in the ranks! We will never forgive! Eternal memory to you, Hero!", - said the National Police.
Recall that today, September 28, early in the morning the enemy attacked a health institution in Sumy, using a "Shahed" type UAV. The State Emergency Service, police, and medics are working at the scene.
Later it became known that Russia twice attacked a medical facility in Sumy, which led to the deaths of people.
President Zelensky reacted to the Russian strike on Sumy and showed fresh photos of the consequences. He said that strength is the only thing that will force Russia to peace.
