US allows Ukraine to strike deep into Russia with American weapons? Congressman’s forecast.

US restrictions regarding Ukraine's strikes in Russia will depend on the situation at the front, Congressman Jimmy Panetta informed. He said that after a real operation in Russia and a raid near Crimea, the situation has become more complex and is not black and white. The Democrat also noted that the US policy regarding the prohibition of using weapons in Russia is starting to change.
He emphasized the necessity to ensure that Russia cannot hide behind the front line, and if they continue to attack, then the US must play defensively and partially go on the offensive.
Restrictions on the use of American weapons in Russia
The US has given permission for Ukrainian troops to use their own weapons for strikes “across the border,” but fears that this will lead to an escalation of the conflict.
It is worth noting that the US has restricted the use of its weapons for strikes on Russia. The Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot attack targets at a distance of more than 100 km from the border and attack key Russian airfields.
Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder stated that Ukrainian military can use longer-range missiles provided by the US to strike targets in Russia if it is necessary for self-defense.
