How many Ukrainians from occupied territories joined the Russian army: data from the National Resistance Center.

Russian occupiers recruit residents of temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine into their army
According to the National Resistance Center (NRC), about 7 thousand people from temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine signed contracts with Russian troops since the beginning of 2024. This is reported by the NRC.
Analysts note that this is due to the high level of unemployment and difficult financial situation of people in these territories. Russia is also conducting an aggressive disinformation campaign, attempting to recruit local residents into its ranks by promising them land plots, Russian passports, and other benefits.
The National Resistance Center warns that Russian invaders plan to continue recruiting the population in the occupied territories, which may lead to more civilian casualties.
It should be reminded that the Ukrainian population in the temporarily occupied territories is constantly oppressed. To conduct burials in TOT Ukraine, a Russian passport is required.
Earlier, it became known that officials from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation demand the announcement of a new wave of mobilization. Moscow increasingly talks about the necessity of mobilization in the Russian Federation.
Due to the active offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region, it became obvious that Russia lacks military personnel in the third year of the war. The Kremlin may announce a general mobilization, trying to avoid this at all costs.
