Russia attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones: the number of injured has increased (updated).


In the evening of May 1, Zaporizhzhia was attacked by Russian drones. This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional state administration, Ivan Fedorov.
The head of the administration stated that explosions were heard in various parts of the city, and at least 10 strikes were carried out. As a result, several fires broke out, and preliminary data indicates there are casualties.
Currently, the scale of the destruction and the number of casualties are being determined, and all emergency services are working at the scene.

As a result of the shelling, a 61-year-old man was killed, and eight people were injured. Rescuers continue search operations, as there may still be individuals under the rubble, including one person who has not yet contacted the rescuers. Medical assistance is being provided to her.
Head of the regional administration Ivan Fedorov thanked all services and volunteers for their help in eliminating the aftermath of the attack and providing timely assistance to people.

The prediction about the death of the 61-year-old man turned out to be incorrect. Rescuers found him under the rubble and delivered him to the hospital. The number of injured as a result of the attack rose to 14, of whom nine are in hospitals, while five received assistance at the scene.

The number of injured has increased to 28 people. Russian troops launched a massive drone strike from 22:05 to 22:20 on May 1. Damage was inflicted on educational institutions and infrastructure, and a search and rescue operation is ongoing in the ruins of a multi-story residential building with a fire.

Zaporizhzhia has once again become a target of a Russian attack. The drone attack resulted in destruction, fires, and many injuries. Local emergency services and rescuers reacted promptly to this situation. Further investigations will be aimed at determining the extent of the destruction and providing assistance to the victims. Russian aggression continues to inflict suffering on the civilian population.
