The Rada Simplified the Rules for Selling Used Cars.

The Eased Sale of Used Cars Will Lift Ukrainian Car Trading to World Standards
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a bill that simplifies the procedure for selling used cars in the country. Bill No. 9083 envisages the liberalization of wholesale and retail trade in vehicles, creating more favorable conditions for car dealers and vehicle owners.
The main innovation of the bill is a new approach to the registration and resale of vehicles. From now on, car dealers will be allowed to purchase cars like any other goods, without the complicated procedure of registration and re-registration, which will significantly simplify trade-in in Ukraine.
The new procedure provides for a simple and transparent scheme. After the conclusion of the purchase agreement, the seller becomes the temporary legal owner of the vehicle but retains the license plates and technical passport of the previous owner.
A groundbreaking feature will be the creation of an electronic database that will allow car dealers to automatically obtain information about vehicles.
Experts in the automotive market believe that the bill is an important step towards elevating Ukrainian car trading to world standards. The law will come into effect after being signed by the President of Ukraine, significantly simplifying the resale and trade-in procedures for all market participants.
