Pensioners will receive up to 600 hryvnias in January: not everyone will get it.

According to the Law of Ukraine 'On Pension Provision', Ukrainians who reach the age of 70 can receive a pension supplement for age. This is an additional payment that is provided at retirement age and aims to improve the material condition of elderly people. This additional payment is an important component of the social system and contributes to the social protection of the elderly. Pensioners with a pension of less than 10,000 hryvnias can receive the supplement.
The size of the supplement depends on the age of the pensioner. For example, after reaching the age of 70, the supplement is 300 hryvnias, after reaching 75 years - 456 hryvnias, and after reaching 80 years - 570 hryvnias.
All pensioners aged 70 and older can receive this additional payment. It is important to note that the calculation of the supplement is carried out automatically, without the need to submit an application. However, pensioners will receive the supplement only if their pension does not exceed 10,340.35 hryvnias.
The first payment of the supplement will be received the next month after the birthday. In the first month, the supplement will be accrued only for those days that have passed since the pensioner's birthday.
It is worth mentioning that from January 1, additional payments 'in hand' have been announced in Ukraine.
