Parking spaces in Kyiv - how prices have changed and what to expect.

The prices for parking spaces in Kyiv have sharply increased and in some areas are already comparable to apartment prices. Especially high prices are observed in elite new buildings, where the cost of a parking space can reach up to 60 thousand dollars. The demand for parking spaces remains high due to the constant increase in the number of cars in the city.

The highest prices are recorded in the Pecherskyi district, where the cost of one parking space varies from 22 to 27 thousand dollars, while in premium residential complexes it can reach 60 thousand dollars. In Podil, the prices are also high - from 30 to 45 thousand dollars, and in the Shevchenkivskyi district from 18 to 24 thousand dollars.

For the most affordable parking spaces, residents of Kyiv can count on the outskirts of the city and in residential areas. In Troieshchyna, Sviatoshyn, and Vynohradar, prices start from 7.5 thousand dollars, while in Obolon, Lukianivka, and Solomianska - 13-17 thousand dollars per space.

Why prices have increased

The rise in the cost of parking spaces in Kyiv has several reasons, one of which is the constant increase in the number of cars in the city. According to the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, there are about 1.2 million cars in the capital, which creates serious parking problems.

One of the factors influencing the price increase is the policy of developers, who often do not foresee a sufficient number of parking spaces in new residential complexes. This, along with the physical shortage of spaces in old buildings, leads to an increase in prices for parking spaces in the city center.
