Vegetable prices continue to rise: how carrot, onion, and cabbage prices differ in supermarkets and markets.

Vegetable prices in Ukraine continue to rise. According to data from the Mifin portal, the Capital Market and the Odesa market 'Pochatok', prices in supermarkets and markets vary.
Consumers are particularly concerned about the rising cost of vegetables, which are a staple part of many diets. Over the past month, the price of carrots has increased from 21.46 UAH/kg to 26.99 UAH/kg, and onions have gone up from 15.91 UAH/kg to 18.30 UAH/kg. Prices for purple and young cabbage have also increased.
At the Capital Market, carrot prices range from 20 to 26 UAH/kg, onions cost from 13 to 15 UAH/kg, and young cabbage is sold from 40 to 48 UAH/kg.
At the Odesa market 'Pochatok', young carrots cost from 35 to 45 UAH/kg, regular onions range from 25 to 35 UAH/kg, and Crimean onions range from 80 to 100 UAH/kg.
Therefore, consumers have to pay higher prices for vegetables, leading to an increase in food costs.
