The Russian platoon commander led his soldiers out of captivity

In the area near Kharkiv, Russian platoon commander Vladislav Balgrabskiy decided to lead the remaining members of his platoon out of their positions and surrender them to the soldiers of the 13th Brigade of the National Guard "Charter." He did this to save his subordinates from death, as their Russian battalion was almost destroyed in battles.

"We managed to get out quite well: quickly and safely. Although I wasn't very safe, because they probably didn't want me to reach you, or to say too much," Vladislav Balgrabskiy said.

It is known that the platoon commander previously signed a one-year contract with the Russian armed forces, however, his main motivation was money. He hoped that over the year he could save enough funds for his family and purchase a home.

Difficult situation in the captivity of Ukrainian soldiers

The commander himself talks about the horrible conditions that Ukrainian soldiers are in during captivity. Food and water are thrown at them from drones, using syringes. However, these resources were insufficient, and soldiers often starved.

"One could only wait for something else to be dropped to you," said the captive.

The situation is worsened by the fact that older and vulnerable soldiers die from hunger, as they do not receive sufficient food resources. Such circumstances and the commander’s behavior led to Balgrabskiy's decision to lead his platoon out of captivity.

The Russian commander was deceived

Furthermore, one of the reasons for the surrender was the deception by the Russian leadership after the end of the contract. The commander was forced to remain in the war, claiming that changes had occurred in legislation.

"I didn’t like how the commander spoke to me: with swearing, humiliation, and rudeness," emphasized Vladislav Balgrabskiy.

The interview also notes that Ukrainian soldiers constantly face enemy attacks, and just yesterday it was possible to eliminate 1380 occupiers. This indicates a tense situation at the front.

Overall, Vladislav Balgrabskiy's story provides an insight into the life and conditions faced by Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines. Lack of food and medicine, constant security threats are the main problems encountered by our military.
