Medical information system being tested in advanced surgical units.

The Ministry of Defense is implementing a unified medical space that combines all medical resources and has clear financing and management. This was announced by the head of the health department, Oksana Sukhorukova.
"Specialists are currently testing the implementation of the medical information system in advanced surgical units, and soon this will concern military hospitals. A contract has been signed with a charity organization for the supply of tablets for such units," explained Sukhorukova.
According to Sukhorukova, military medicine has differences in funding, but this does not affect data entry. Military doctors are motivated to share patient information with each other and not to conduct additional examinations. Many medical professionals from civilian life are already accustomed to medical information systems and have joined military hospitals, which reduces paperwork.
Sukhorukova also expressed a desire to involve military hospitals in the state's centralized procurement program. She hopes to include metal plates for osteosynthesis and endoprostheses. The health department has already raised the issue of preserving orthopantomograms for visualizing the dental condition of military personnel, as well as the identification of the deceased.
"We are actively working on collecting structured medical data about patients. Our system will have much more information than the electronic health system. It's not because we are greedy, but simply that the electronic system cannot accommodate all the information generated by our medical information system," Sukhorukova concluded.
