An explosion of a car occurred in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as a result of which two people were injured - an official and his wife. The police are working at the scene. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the police of Dnipropetrovsk region.

According to sources from 'RBK-Ukraine', the head of the Left Bank City Administration of Dnipro, Yuriy Fedko, was injured.

'A report of the explosion was received by law enforcement today at about 07:40. The driver of the car - a local official - and his wife were injured,' the statement says.

It is noted that the first deputy head of the National Police - the head of the Main Investigation Department, Maksym Tsutskirizde, police officers, SBU, and prosecutors arrived at the scene. Issues of legal qualification are being resolved. All circumstances of the incident are being clarified.

Earlier, in the Kamianske district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, the body of a member of the 'Batkivshchyna' party, Oleksandr Plakhotnik, was found on the roadside with a gunshot wound to the head. The body was found by a passing driver. The information was received by law enforcement today, March 28, at about 08:20.

Later, a local resident of the Dnipropetrovsk region was suspected of the intentional murder of the former deputy mayor of Kamianske, Oleksandr Plakhotnik, which was committed for mercenary motives and illegal handling of firearms.
