IMF forecasts critical growth of Ukraine's national debt.

According to the International Monetary Fund, in 2021, Ukraine's total national debt will reach 110% of the country's gross domestic product (GDP). This was announced by the Director of the IMF's Financial Department, Victor Gaspar, in Washington.
According to the Fund's calculations, after two years of war with the Russian Federation, the total national debt was 89.8% of Ukraine's GDP in 2024. However, it is expected that this year it will first exceed the historic threshold of 100% and reach 110%.
It is worth remembering that before the invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine in 2021, this figure did not exceed 48.9%.
According to IMF forecasts, next year Ukraine's total national debt will decrease to 108.5% of GDP with a further downward trend.
