Maybe I'm rude, but I'm not a monster: The trial against Depardieu continues in France.

A court case against actor Gérard Depardieu is taking place in France, where he is accused of sexual harassment during the filming of 'Green shutters' in 2021. This was reported by Bild, referring to Glavkom.

Two women, a director's assistant and a set designer, claim that the actor without their consent harassed them in their intimate areas. For this, Depardieu could face up to five years in prison and a fine of 75 thousand euros.

'Sometimes I joke on set, giving small slaps on the butt. Maybe I'm rude, but I'm not a monster. I have a wife and children. I'm an old-school man,' Depardieu stated.

The actor also claims that he does not remember the women who filed a lawsuit against him and asks them to send him their husbands.

Lawyer Jérémie Assous, who represents the actor, also spoke harshly. He called some of those present 'hysterics,' which triggered a new wave of outrage.

'I understand that I might seem disgusting to you. But I am against violence and rudeness. I'm just from the old school. And now you have to be careful because a new generation is listening to us,' noted the lawyer.

The court is also considering the accusations. One of the key witnesses is the director's assistant under the pseudonym Sara.
