Ukrainians with Ukrainian numbers traveling in Europe after Ukraine joins the roaming zone of the European Union may face some restrictions. Although the term 'roaming as at home' will apply only to tourists and not to permanent residents of the EU, Ukrainians may encounter additional charges after using a certain volume of data. Operators will limit only mobile internet, while calls and SMS will be provided at Ukrainian rates. Mobile account top-ups without access to the internet can now be done through the Monobank app, and fast and convenient rates have been offered by the operator Vodafone.Ukrainians who often travel to European countries should be prepared for some restrictions after Ukraine joins the EU roaming zone. Although mobile internet may be subject to additional charges after reaching the stipulated limit, calls and SMS will remain available at Ukrainian rates. Moreover, updated rates from lifecell and Vodafone may become a convenient choice for subscribers of the companies.
