Maguchikh nominated for the best athlete in the world. How to vote for the champion.


Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Maguchikh was nominated for the title of best athlete of 2024 according to World Athletics. Everyone can vote on social media. This news was reported on the official website of the organization.
Award ceremonies will be held in three categories: technical, running, and off-stadium events. Yaroslava Maguchikh is vying for the title of best among technical discipline representatives.
Voting has already begun on World Athletics' social media pages and will continue until October 20. To vote, you need to like on Facebook and Instagram, or retweet on Twitter.
Maguchikh's competitors for this award:
- Valarie Allman (USA) - Olympic champion in discus throw;
- Tara Davis-Woodhall (USA) - Olympic champion and world champion in indoor long jump;
- Nina Kennedy (Australia) - Olympic champion and Diamond League winner in pole vault;
- Nafissatou Thiam (Belgium) - Olympic champion in heptathlon.
This is already the third nomination for Yaroslava Maguchikh for the International Association of Athletics Federations award. She was also included in the list of nominees in 2022 and 2023, but did not receive the award.
It is worth mentioning that Yaroslava Maguchikh also made it into the top three contenders for the title of best athlete of 2024 in Europe.
