The commander of the Third Assault Brigade made a tough statement about the annexation of Crimea.

Most military units located in Crimea in 2014 were ready to defend the peninsula against Russian aggression. However, according to the commander of the Third Separate Assault Brigade, Colonel Andriy Biletsky, Crimea was 'literally surrendered'. He expressed this opinion in an interview with Natalia Moseychuk.
Biletsky noted that the annexation of Crimea by Russia was a 'controversial story'.
We simply, in the literal sense, surrendered it (Crimea, – ed.)
The commander of the Third Assault Brigade insists that there were many people on the peninsula who supported Ukraine. They came out to rallies and were ready to organize self-defense.
Moreover, most military units were ready to resist Russian aggression.
There were various military units. But most units were ready in the first days to follow orders and defend the Crimean peninsula
Biletsky believes that if the Armed Forces of Ukraine actively resisted the Russian troops, they would have returned to Russian territory, as such an order was supposed to be given.
In case of resistance, the Russian military had orders to return and fly on a 'blue helicopter' back to Kuban. But that didn't happen. That's why they surrendered
Earlier, Colonel Biletsky talked about the motivation of the soldiers of the Third Assault Brigade.
He also explained which victories he considers the most important in this war.
Biletsky added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine adopted the tactics of the 'Wagnerites', who used an effective defense system in Syria borrowed from ISIS. Now the Ukrainian military also uses this tactic.
