Putin's plans for negotiations with Ukraine
According to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed readiness for negotiations with Ukraine without preconditions. This information was conveyed to Chinese leader Xi Jinping. Putin expressed hope for a just and lasting peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
Wang Yi also stated that the Russian president appreciated China's position regarding the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, recognizing it as objective and fair. China, in turn, supports any efforts aimed at achieving peace.
Xi Jinping was in Russia from May 7 to May 10, marking his 11th visit to the RF. It is worth noting that earlier Putin also announced his readiness for direct negotiations with Ukraine.
