The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed a successful strike on another oil depot in the Russian Federation.


On the night of December 31, units of the Special Operations Forces, together with the UAV Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the Defense Forces, attacked the oil depot 'Yartsevskaya' in the Smolensk region of the Russian Federation.
According to the report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, powerful explosions occurred at the site as a result of the strike and a fire broke out. There is heavy smoke observed on the territory of the oil depot, and tanks with oil products are on fire.
The military notes that this depot was used to supply the Russian occupation army. Currently, verification of the results of the combat operation is underway.
The General Staff emphasizes that strikes on important enemy targets will continue until the Russian Federation ends its armed aggression against Ukraine.
