General Staff reported on active combat operations in Kurakhove and Pokrovske directions.


Tense situation at the front: 107 combat clashes with occupiers
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that as of 16:00 on September 4, 2024, 107 combat clashes with Russian occupiers have been recorded on the front.
The hottest points of confrontation are now in the Kurakhove and Pokrovske directions. Ukrainian defenders are doing everything possible to hold back the enemy's advance.
The occupiers continue to attack the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Five air strikes with the use of 11 guided aerial bombs have been recorded on settlements including Sumy, Tokari, Nova Sloboda, Yampil, and Yunakivka. There were also artillery shelling on Sydorivka, Novovasylivka, Slavgorod, and other settlements.
The battle near Vovchansk continues in the Kharkiv direction. In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted to storm Ukrainian positions 14 times near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Lozova, Berestove, and Myasozharivka.
The Lyman direction underwent 11 enemy attacks, of which four are still ongoing. In the Siversk direction, the occupiers unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense near Ivano-Dariivka.
The Kramatorsk direction was hit by unguided aerial rockets in Chasiv Yar. In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out eight attacks with ground and air support, and the battle near New York continues.
The Pokrovske direction remains a hot spot with 31 enemy assaults. Fighting continues in eight locations. Enemy aviation struck near Oleksandropol and Selydove.
In the Kurakhove direction, 32 enemy attacks have been recorded. The enemy attempted to advance near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Kostiantynivka.
The Vremivka direction repelled two enemy assault actions. In the Orikhiv direction, the occupiers unsuccessfully attacked in the area of Robotyne. In the Prydniprovsk direction, five enemy attacks were repelled.
Ukrainian defenders continue to hold off the enemy's onslaught and defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
