The conviction of the former Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation was due to embezzlement and legalization of criminal proceeds. Timur Ivanov received 13 years of imprisonment and a fine of 100 million rubles, also losing his state awards. His subordinate, Anton Filatov, was sentenced to 12.5 years and a fine of 25 million rubles for embezzlement.
