Experts named the months when sunflower oil will become cheaper in 2025.

Changes are occurring in the Ukrainian sunflower oil market due to internal restrictions and external factors. Experts predict further price increases until 2025.
According to the State Statistics Service, the average price for a liter of sunflower oil in January 2025 was 75.27 UAH. The most expensive oil was found in Kyiv (9% higher than the average) and Odesa (7% higher) regions.
The forecast for sunflower harvest in 2025 is 11.5 million tons, which is 4% less than last year due to a decrease in yield and stagnation of planted areas. Transportation costs have increased by 18-22% since the beginning of the year due to rising fuel prices. The depreciation of the hryvnia has raised prices for imported components. Global oil prices also influence price formation. Competition from Russia also affects prices, as their oil is offered cheaper due to subsidies.
Analysts predict different price scenarios for sunflower oil in Ukraine. The baseline scenario assumes a price increase to 85-88 UAH/l in the second quarter, stabilization at 82-84 UAH/l in the third quarter, and a possible decrease to 78-80 UAH/l in the fourth quarter. In the optimistic scenario, the price could be 79-81 UAH/l, while in the pessimistic scenario it may reach 89-93 UAH/l.
Experts recommend paying attention to MAUDAU and EKO-market chains, where you can save up to 23%. Seasonal price reductions are expected in June-July.
