Expert predicted what to expect from the dollar and euro exchange rates in Ukraine until mid-May.

Forecast for the currency market
Financial expert Oleksiy Kozyrev predicts moderate fluctuations in the exchange rates of major currencies in the Ukrainian currency market next week. Changes may occur under the influence of international instability and decisions made by the US Federal Reserve.
International influencing factors
The main international factors influencing currency exchange rates include decisions made by the US Federal Reserve, trade tensions between the US and China, military conflicts worldwide, and the political situation in the EU. These events may determine the movement of currency rates in the near future.
Domestic factors in Ukraine
On the domestic market, important elements remain the interventions of the National Bank, the volumes of interbank operations, targeted currency sales to state structures, and transactions of the population with currency.
Currency exchange rate forecasts
- EUR/USD corridor: 1.124–1.148 USD per EUR
- Dollar exchange rate on the interbank market: 41.25–41.80 UAH
- Euro exchange rate: 46.36–47.99 UAH
- The highest volatility is expected on May 8–9
Situation at the front
'The National Bank smooths out global fluctuations through constant dollar-selling interventions, thereby neutralizing spikes,' Kozyrev noted.
A positive factor is the stabilization of demand from the population: 'Although citizens are still buying more currency than they are selling, these amounts are decreasing.'
According to recent forecasts, the market may expect various changes depending on international events and domestic factors in Ukraine. The current situation in the currency market requires careful observation and analysis for successful trading.
