Two Ukrainians reached the final in high jump at Euro-2025 indoors.


At the European Athletics Championship-2025 in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, two out of three Ukrainian athletes made it to the final in high jump.
Oleg Doroshchuk, Dmytro Nikitin, and Vadym Kravchuk participated in the qualification. They needed to meet the standard (clear a height of 2.26 m) or place in the top-8.

All three Ukrainians cleared up to a height of 2.23 m. Doroshchuk and Nikitin could only clear a height of 2.18 m on their second attempts.
In total, 14 athletes advanced to the height of 2.23 m. The indoor European champion Duve Amels failed to qualify.
Doroshchuk (on his first attempt) and Nikitin (on his second) managed to clear the height of 2.23 m. Kravchuk nearly succeeded in this task, but he was short on his final attempt.
Eight athletes made it to the final: Doroshchuk, Nikitin, Lando and Sioli from Italy, Shtefel from the Czech Republic, Kosonen from Finland, Aset from Turkey, and Potye from Germany.
Karmoy, the bronze medalist of Euro-2023 indoors, could not qualify.
The final of the men's high jump will take place on March 8 at 21:09.
Ukraine will be represented in the men's triple jump at the European Indoor Championships 2025 for the first Time in 8 years. The team leader is Vladyslav Shepelev, who managed to qualify for this competition after success at the national championship and the end of his career.
Before the championship began, Shepelev announced his 'career termination', but after winning, he acknowledged it as 'hype' to attract the audience's attention.
