World Biathlon Championship for Military: The composition of the Ukrainian team has been announced.


The Ukrainian biathlon team will participate in the World Championship for Military, which will take place in Switzerland from March 23 to 30. The tournament will be held under the slogan 'Military Champions for Peace' and will include competitions in various winter sports, including cross-country skiing, patrol races, alpine skiing, ski orienteering, snowboarding, and ski jumping. The composition of the Ukrainian team for this tournament includes: in the women's team will play Yuliya Dzima, Anna Kryvonos, Nadiya Byelkina, Valeriya Dmytrenko, and Iryna Petrenko, while the men's team will consist of Denys Nasyko, Artem Tyshchenko, Ruslan Tkaleko, and Bohdan Tsymbal.
It is also worth noting the successes of Ukrainian biathletes at the junior world championship. Our team won one bronze medal, which was earned by Oleksandra Merkushyna in the mass start-60. In addition, Ukrainian athletes entered the top-5 of individual races twice and took fifth place in the mixed team relay. Overall, Ukraine ranks 11th in the medal standings.
The winner of this tournament was the French team, which received 15 medals, including 5 gold. Norway took second place, and Germany third.
